Please join Women Lawyer’s of Sacramento for a luncheon with Acting UC Davis Professor of Law Irene Oritseweyinmi Joe. Professor Joe currently teaches Criminal Law, Professional Responsibility, Voir Dire, and Criminal Trials: Theory and Practice at King Hall. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her J.D. from Stanford Law School. She has significant experience in criminal litigation proceedings with prior experience representing indigent defendants in capital post-conviction litigation and children sentenced to life in prison without the opportunity parole. She clerked for the Honorable Napoleon Jones and served as a line defender at the Orleans Public Defenders. Professor Joe will be leading a discussion about her research agenda which focuses on public defender resource issues and the ethics of criminal justice.
