Under supervision, the Court Research Attorney serves as a legal advisor and provides professional legal research assistance to Superior Court Judges, Executive and Managerial staff, and performs related duties as assigned. Candidates are hired at the Research Attorney II or Research Attorney III level depending upon their experience in relation to the minimum qualifications. Mary Jennings manages the Rescue & Restore Victims of Human Trafficking Program at the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA). She also supervises the SETA Refugee Services Program. The Rescue & Restore nationwide network of programs is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement. The purpose of Rescue & Restore is to raise awareness of human trafficking in order to identify victims and connect them to services, through capacity building of local organizations and coalition-building. Mary worked for more than 19 years on international programs promoting children and women’s rights, as well as hunger and poverty alleviation. Mary has completed a post baccalaureate certificate in Global Gender Issues at University of California, Davis and an MA in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
Special Agent Rebekah L. Bills is a Civil Rights investigator with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the Sacramento Division. Upon arriving to the Sacramento Division in January 2007, Special Agent Bills was assigned National Security matters to include both counterterrorism and counterintelligence investigations, where she specialized in field intelligence and human source recruitment. Special Agent Bills has been assigned to the to the Civil Rights Unit since January 2010, to address various Civil Rights issues, including Human Trafficking, Color of Law Violations, and Hate Crime investigations. Prior to her employment with the FBI, Special Agent Bills served eight years in the United States Air Force as an Operations Intelligence Specialist.

Join us to hear the positions and opinions of candidates seeking election as District Attorney of Sacramento County. The moderated panel will pose questions to the candidates, and the forum will be broadcast live by Access Sacramento television. Admission is FREE and the event is open to the public.
